Rest assured, both government moves are aimed for the betterment of their respective country.
SINGAPORE – Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said in his New Year message that one issue where Singaporeans must seek consensus is population, an area which has been much discussed in 2012.
He said Singapore needs to prevent its citizen population from ageing and shrinking and that Singaporeans need to have more babies.
The number of new immigrants being taken in must also be considered, he said.
